The Northern Boat Show has just made its first announcement about the spectacular line-up of power boats, cruisers, narrow boats, sailing boats and marine businesses that will be on show at Liverpool’s waterfront this June, all at the heart of the International Mersey River Festival.

This three-day boat show from 3 to 5 June 2016 will play host to over 70 boats from some of the biggest and most popular boat brands. Boat brands making their debut at the Show include Parker, Rodman, Sealine, Four Winns, Fairline, Chaparral, Robalo, Sea Ray, BRIG, Pirate, A& R Way Boatbuilding, Hardy, David Moss Boatbuilders, X-Yachts and Smart Boat in addition to previous exhibitors such as Bavaria, Hanse, Beneteau, Dufour, Character Boats, Highfield and Jeanneau.

New for 2016 will be displays of inland water boats and ancillary products, systems and services. Canal boat lovers will be in for a treat with Collingwood displaying two 64 feet Abodes and Aintree Boats displaying a 25 feet Beetle and 57 feet wide-berth. There will also be a Viking 27 and exhibitors such as Canal & River Rescue, Canal & River Trust, Caldwell Windows, Wi Fi Onboard that cater for the inland market.

Reflecting the UK’s only professional wakeboard tour coming to the International Mersey River Festival there will be a range of sports boats on display from Mastercraft and Axis. You will see some of the top athletes compete in Salthouse Dock using floating jumps and ramps to perform heart-stopping tricks right in the middle of the armada of boats on show. Visitors can also have a ‘taster sail’ on two traditional boats from Character Boats.

The Northern Boat Show will cover every aspect of the leisure marine industry from boat builders, sail makers, marinas, holidays, chandlers and engine manufacturers to marine finance, clothing specialists and navigation equipment. The International Boatbuilding Training College is showcasing one of the boats built on their courses and sail maker, Jeckells, will be there to showcase their sails, Adidas Sailing clothing displaying its new range, as well as Volvo motors, one the leading outboard motor manufacturer in the world.

Other exhibitors include Pantaenius, Cruising Association, Boatshed.com, Towergate, Whitehaven Marina, AGlaze, Boatsearch.earth, Black Bear, Bluepoint Marine Services, Conwy Quays Marina, Sail Ionian, Amateur Yacht Research Society, Nisos, Starboard Locker, Nautical 3D Charts, Sail Scotland and Visit Derry.

LIVERPOOL’S popular maritime festival is returning with brand new additions to the line-up.

The International Mersey River Festival in partnership with Kier Group returns for the fifth consecutive year on Friday 3 to Sunday 5 June.

This year’s FREE event has some exciting new activities including:

This three-day boat show from 5 to 7 June 2015 will put sailing and power boats in front of true enthusiasts, as well as the 200,000 visitors who attend the Festival. The Albert Dock will showcase the latest sailing and power boats with smaller craft on display in Salthouse Dock and a land-based exhibition on the Salthouse Dock quayside. The Show will cover every aspect of the leisure marine industry from boat builders, sail makers, chandlers and engine manufacturers to marine finance, clothing specialists and navigation equipment.

One of the first to sign up to the Show was Clipper Marine, who will be showcasing a series of Bavaria yachts and motorboats including the Easy 9.7 and the Sport 400HT. Other exhibitors include Hamble Point Yacht Charters, Pantaenius boat insurance, Marine Teak and WiFi Onboard.

Liverpool is set to host the very first Northern Boat Show in June.

Proposals to bring the maritime extravaganza to the city were made public by Carnah Events in November, and since then, the company has been inundated with requests from exhibitors who want to be part of this brand new event.

Set to form part of the 2015 International Mersey River Festival which runs from 5-7 June, it is expected that there will be around 150 exhibitors and 60 boats attracting an estimated 25,000 visitors.

One of the first to sign up was Clipper Marine and they will showcase a series of Bavaria yachts and motorboats. Other exhibitors include Hamble Point Yacht Charters, Pantaenius boat insurance, Marine Teak and WiFi Onboard.

PLANS are underway which could see a brand new maritime event come to Liverpool in 2015.

Discussions have been taking place for the city to host The Northern Boat Show next year, brought here by Carnah Events.

It would be part of the International Mersey River Festival, running from the 5-7 June, and would see world class sailing and power boats head for the Mersey attracting buyers from across the country who will not only be able to see these vessels against the beautiful backdrop of the waterfront but also have access to the latest marine products, systems and services.
